Overview
In many ways, this is Fukuoka City's best beach. But if that's so, then why are there so few people? That's the point! It's remote enough that people would rather go to Momochi Beach or some other, closer beach, yet not so inaccessible that civilization is absent, with mostly young, somewhat bohemian visitors and several small bars and eateries scattered about. In the middle of the beach, a pair of huge, partially submerged rocks give the beach its name. These two rocks are roped together, being wed in Shintoist belief. To reach the beach, driving is the best option. Take 202 south toward Karatsu. In Imajuku, turn right onto 54 (you will see the sign).
