Overview
Manor-La Placette is located close to the railway station. It is a vast department store spread around 6 floors. You can find almost anything you are looking for here. Clothing for children, women and men, luggage, sportswear and equipment, china, home furnishings, Swiss chocolate, watches, hardware, toys, electronic equipment, and even a large supermarket. It has a snack bar on the top floor with a lovely terrace in summer as well as a very big self-service restaurant which remains open in the evening, after the store is closed.
it is a good,big place and u will find every thing u need.but it is too EXPENSIVE. i like the manor restorant nice food with good price.. u should tri it..
There's not much choice, it's expensive, annoying escalators, beauty staff annoying. The upstairs cafe is quite good though. They have the monopoly as there is nowhere else to go apart from Globus.
I look all over my house in Costa Rica and I find items I bought at La Placette in Geneva (my former home town) or in Lausanne, as well as in its sister stores Manor, Nordmann, Innovazzione. After six years of having moved away from Switzerland, La Placette is one of those places I really miss. I could always get what I wanted in a single store, of excellent quality at great prices. I lived in Geneva 2 years and I worked in Manor La Placette for a year and I liked the place to work and to shop. It is only one step to buy whatever you like and get out. It has a nice cafeteria, with delicious foods. Hope go back one more time
Has a lot, but costs a lot. Closed Sundays.
since geneva doesn't have regular sales - the placette is the next bESt place for reasonable prices
