Overview

With all the "genuine" Irish theme pubs springing up all over the city, it's harder to find one that real Irish people would be seen dead in than to steal a pot of gold off a leprechaun. Luckily for the ex-pats, Jinty's is one such elusive treasure. The hospitality here is legendary and everyone receives a warm welcome, even if they have a bit of trouble fighting through the crowds to get their Guinness. A beer garden provides much needed extra seating in summer and there's a party atmosphere every night from Sunday to Thursday with live music from local folk and cover bands.

Down to earth warmthby Yahoo | 2007-05-24 12:26:14 |

Loved the friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere and warm welcome that was extended to everyone. The live music sessions are great, but it's usually busy when these are taking place. I prefer the place when it's relatively quiet and you can enjoy the friendly banter of the locals. A very genuine place where staff and locals are exceptionally warm and friendly.

Refused service trying to find the toilet!by Yahoo | 2006-07-14 08:18:35 |

Jinty McGinty's, a warm Irish welcome with a pint of Guiness in a plastic glass! Brilliant music and excellent bar staff. The door man was exceptional at his job, so good that when I went to look for access to the toilets and twice found the wrong entrance he suggested that leave the premises and I was being refused service for having too much to drink (two and a half pints)! The good news is that if the doormen continue to be so effective at their job you should have no problem finding the toilets, because there will not be any customers.
