Overview
This bar typifies the Bahamian atmosphere and lifestyle in many ways. It's as casual as can be, and the patrons are mellow and cheery. It is located directly across from the Pub at Port Lucaya. If you want to get entirely out of the sun, grab one of the few indoor tables. Outdoor seating allows for patrons to enjoy the shade while still interacting with passers-by. Drinks are inexpensive, service is friendly but matter-of-fact, and the decor is well-worn.
Despite a tiny and I mean tiny kitchen, the food is great. The fish and chips are extraordinary! Do you like a frozen Margarita? Unbelievable. This is one place you CAN NOT be grumpy at - the island air, people and food just make you happy.
I loved the price and the friendly service, the only bad thing is that the place was always packed which only goes to show how great it is. So nothing really bad to say about it.
This bar is great the staff is friendly and entertaining and the drinks are just FANTASTIC. The food was really good and the prices were very reasonable. The lobster tail on the menu is Awesome the best $10 lobster you will ever have. The Rum Runner was just great and the Pina Colada in the coconut made right in front of you just what you excpect to find on a tropical island. I cant wait to go back and eat and drink my wife and I ate and drank there 3 times.
Remind me of a little Reese's Lounge in Chicago- Enjoy this place when you visit this island. After the fish fry on Wednesday night every comes back to Rum Runners to party until closing.
