The pleasant Pan American Hotel has been family-run since 1942, and is still renown for its good food, service and antique decor. The hotel offers delicious Guatemalan and international cuisine, and takes particular care in providing excellent service for banquets and events. All the waiters and waitresses dress in traditional Mayan costume. The hotel is in the historic center of Guatemala City and is only eight kilometers from the international airport. It is a large two-story, modern building with huge windows looking onto the street. Children under 12 years old may stay for free when sharing their parents bedroom. The hotel offers transportation from the airport and a variety of tours.
