Overview

These unique garden grounds, laid out in a baroque style, are one of the most famous attractions in Hanover. Großer Garten was sculpted in 1699 on the request of princess Sophie. Despite being a royal garden, access was granted to the public, which is still valid today. Entrance is gained through a golden gate, and it houses a labyrinth, sculptures and lake. Special features of the garden are the waterworks, including the biggest water fountain in Europe and the illuminations. These features make it a perfect spot for the concerts that are held here.
