Overview

Weinstube is a favorite haunt for many—tourists, salary men, locals, expatriates and wine connoisseurs. With an ultra-clean wine bar, seating for about 20, and a range of great European wines, it is easy to see the popularity of this wine bar. The buffet lunch is reasonably priced and you get to sit at comfortable tables that do not rock and spill your drink. Weinstube is definitely recommended as a retreat after a shop-a-thon in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Open Hours

Good, but nothing spectacularby Yahoo | 2008-10-26 11:15:25 |

I went early and it was still empty, so I couldn't "feel the atmosphere". The first thing I noticed was a strong unpleasant smell of disinfectants which I got used to soon. What I ordered was good and fairly authentic. The wine was also good, but the quantity was not what I'm used to (in Europe and the US) but maybe that's HongKong standard and not related to the restaurant. When I'm in Hong Kong/Kowloon again and in the mood for German food, I would go there again.

A great find in Tsim Sha Tsui!by Yahoo | 2006-11-27 04:04:27 |

I've been going to the Weinstube for nearly 20 years. It's got a great atmosphere and anyone new to the bar/restaurant is made to feel at home immediately. Ross, who is the manager/shareholder is an extremely knowledgeable and outgoing person from New Zealand who happens to be a qualified Chef by trade. Most of the (excellent) menu hasn't changed since day one, but try out the daily set dinners for something unusual. The sirloin steak has to rank up near the top in HK for quality and price. The lamb filets are also superb. The bar quickly fills up in the evenings with HK locals and long time Westerners who have chosen HK as their home! Enjoy!
