Overview

This park features a full-fledged amusement park with the popular Dragon Roller Coaster, a Ferris wheel, a marine park with a shark aquarium, and a Chinese cultural village with temples, pagodas and traditional street displays. The star attraction, though, has to be the theme park's two very adorable pandas. A great way to start the day's amusements is by ascending via cable car to the headlands.

Open Hours

Mo to Su from 09:00 AM to 06:30 PM

Ultimate fun for kidsby Yahoo | 2008-10-31 14:42:19 |

Exploring Ocean park was an adventure in itself, the giant panda sanctuary, the cable car ride, the dolphin show, the bird show, the rides, asia's biggest aquarium, and great food!

Good way to spend a day, if you're planning a long tripby Yahoo | 2008-05-01 09:00:52 |

By international standards, really your standard marine park. Amusement rides will disappoint if that was your main goal, but otherwise offers a welcome departure from what is otherwise routine visits to various exhibits and shows, with a Hong Kong twist. By far the most unique is the gondola lift, which connects the two parts of the park, and there is nothing by green in between. On the trip, you can see various settlements on the south side of HKI, as well as Lamma Island, as well as the open ocean. Otherwise, the dolphin show is also great, though not the same since the killer whale passed a few years ago. Various aquariums are interesting for those who seldom visit them, but are not exactly unique. Overall, cheap admission for an amusement park, and a very good amusement park by international standards, definitely worth a visit if you spend more than 5 days in Hong Kong.

ocean park at 30by Yahoo | 2007-10-30 14:40:38 |

my first time in hongkong. i was in high school when ocean park opened. my affluent classmates went there during that time. after 30 years...hahaha whew i can say to them that i have been there too. it was a nice nature park, although walking through out the whole place. i guess they need club cars there for the elderly (not me though) but i had a terrible cough that time i visited it last february. it would be more fun if they could have club cars for people who don't want to walk too much...hehehe. all ina ll i loved the sea lions show, the multi level aquariums also the one with sharks. the cable car ride down was exciting. but my friend who had fear of heights will never never ride the cable cars again...hahaha...

Thrills for allby Yahoo | 2007-09-30 19:04:42 |

The Hong Kong Ocean Park has something for everyone. I have been there on four occasions and recommended it to eight friends that have had to go and see for themselves. They have all agreed that it has far more than even Disney Land has to offer. I am taking my new husband in December to experience the thrill I feel every time I visit The staff are very helpful and friendly and I have always been made to feel as if I was the only VIP visitor in the park. The costs of the entrance fee is not too high and after visiting this park I feel a real bargain.

Wonderful park for allby Yahoo | 2007-09-08 12:11:06 |

Tis park is better than disney in hk. Adults and children will love it It is a must see in hk, The beauty of the ride from one part of park to the other is very breath taking i enjoy it and will visit it again soon.

It is a place for fun but not relaxationby Yahoo | 2007-08-24 06:46:23 |

My (15 year old) daughter and I visited Ocean Park during our short stay in HK. We were overwhelmed by the noise level (eg. the shark aquarium / Atoll Reef). You simply cannot relax and enjoy the beauty of the place. It will be good if the management could do something about the queing up systems (from toilets, food stalls to fun rides) as well as the state of the toilets and customer service (practical as well as language service). Overall, the rides were good and worth visiting.

I'm excitingby Yahoo | 2007-07-13 08:17:51 |
