Overview
With over 168 sprawling hectares, this safari park is recognised as being one of the most successful breeding centers of endangered species in the world. Sumatran and albino tigers, rhinoceroses and China bears are just a few of the species that roam freely throughout the park. The park also offers a campsite, recreational forests and caravan park. Visitors can choose to explore in either personal or hired vehicles. Admission: Day tour: Adults IDR20,000; children IDR15,000. Cars and minibuses cost IDR15,000. You can also opt for the night safari.I thought that it was an awesome zoo. I rode on an elephant too.
I love this place because it is so cool and I got to ride on an elephant! I am Indonesian but i live in America and mostly speak English.I don't even have an Indonesian accent. Most of my family lives in Indonesia. I always go every 2 years. this year i am going and hopefully i will go to the Safari again.
Taman Safari is a very unique experience, because unlike the african safaris which is more of a adventure Macho kind of thing this is a much timid and one can savor and relish every moment of the wildlife encounter. This concept is beautiful, I was told it was started long back and only now are we aware of it. Compared to this Night Safari In Singapore is less entertaining.
Taman Safari is one of the most memorable attractions Indonesia has to offer. You take your personal vehicle through the zoo and animals of all types walk up to your car. My suggestion is to stop before arriving to the safari to buy carrots and bannanas that they sell on the road to feed the animals from the car. All the animals will eat out of your hands, from elephants to lama's. Animals are unpredictable so every visit will be different. Expect to get a bit dirty through all the feeding and petting. Another suggestion is to bring your own toilet paper! Overall this visit was different then any other zoo I have seen in the world. I would recoment it to everybody!
the animals are very various. we can take picture with the animals, even the tigers! the night safary was also amazing... a fun place for children and grown ups... but one day is not enough to visit all the attractions and places in Taman Safari Indonesia. i have to go back there!
I have seen 10 Zoos in 4 countries..Taman Safari is the Best miles ahead.. If you were thinking the Night safari of Singapore is Good the Taman Safari of Bogor is far too excellent. What an amazing experience..tigers crossing the road right infront of your car or a Lion blocking your way...The feeling is just WOW. I just visited this park few hours ago, and very amazed of how gorgeus things were at the park. The park and the buildings were clean and organized pretty well, and the staffs were nice and friendly. We can directly interact with the endangered animals. The animals looked very healthy and happy at the park, and so do we, the visitors. We can feed zebras, elephants, otters, goats, deers, monkeys, honey bears, etc. We can also hug lion and tiger cubs. Oh they're all so adorable!! We can also watch free animal show (elephants, sea lions, etc) at few scheduled times of the day. Overall, very very nice! I hope the government of Indonesia keeps their good maintenance on this one..!
my name is mrs.sushma.suhas.my husband mr.suhas.gaikwad.we came to indonesia second time we came with our children shraddha, sindura.and the experiance was very pleasant. and it is very thoughtful of the indonesian goverment, to take so much efforts to create this place for recreation. for the children it is going to be a very happy and memorable part of they childhood.all are moments spend there are very precious. thankyou and best regards to the indonesian goverment and the friendly indonesian people.
Sacramento Zoo in california was nothing...So don't ever think that everything in US always best before you see this Taman Safari Bogor in Indonesia. Excellent........2 thumbs up
OUR FIRST VIST TO INDONESIA AND TAMAN SAFARI 5*. THE TROUBLE TAKEN TO MAKE THE VISITOR AND ANIMALS ENJOY THE PARK IS EXCEPTIONAL,THE FACILITIES ARE CLEAN, THE STAFF ARE VERY HELPFUL AND ENJOY THEIR `WORK`. THE SAFETY ASPECT IS NOT FORGOTTEN WITH THE DISCRETE STAFF ENSURING THAT THEIR VISITORS ARE SAFE (BOTH HUMAN AND ANIMAL).THE SHOWS ARE BOTH ENTERTAINING AND EDUCATIONAL. IT IS WORTH STAYING IN ONE OF THE HOTELS AND TAKING YOUR TIME TO EXPLORE THE SAFARI PARK AS A ONE DAY VISIT WILL MEAN THAT YOU ARE MISSING SO MUCH. AS AN EXTRA BONUS THE STAFF UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. OUR SINCERE THANKS TO ROGER,PAT,ASIF AND ALL THE STAFF. COLIN and MATTHEW
