Overview

An underappreciated hotel on account of its worn and aged outlook, the Straits View Hotel sits on a hill and enjoys nearly the same vantage as such highly visible landmarks like the Grand Palace and Abu Bakar Mosque. Fraying but adequate furnishings dominate the spacious guest rooms, which are decked out over the three storeys of an elongated masonry building perched on the hilltop. A small coffee house on the ground level serves meals and refreshments. Parking space is ample.
