This place was great. The kayak attendant was extremely helpful with information and instruction for my first-time sons. He was cheerful and patient. Robbie's is a fun place with a market area for local wares, a restaurant (we missed this part) and you can feed the fish for a few bucks ($3/bucket). The kayak area has trails and a map. You can row to an uninhabited island if it is not too windy. I would highly recommned Robbie's. The staff were great.

Robbie's Marina is a great place to spend part of one of your days in Islamorada. For a small fee(I think it was like $3) you can feed the tarpon right from the dock! They give you a bucket of bait fish, and there are hundreds of tarpon that just hang around there, waiting...But you have to be careful, many people have lost Rolex watches, diamond bracelets and rings to the tarpon, especially if they get ahold of your arm! But don't worry, it doesn't hurt, they don't have teeth, it will scrape you up a bit though, they have 'gums' like sandpaper. Just remember to take off ALL of your jewels before feeding the tarpon! Also, there are charters available out of the marina for tarpon, shark, marlin, etc. And there is the big fishing boat, too, around 70 feet long, if I remember correctly. For about $30 per person, you can go out on a fishing trip with about 50 other people. They provide all of the equipment and bait, unless you have your own, then you don't have to pay as much. The trip is about 4 hours long, and I think they run at least 2 per day. Aside from the fishing, the ride is great, and the things you will see! For example, on my trip, we got to see a few sea turtles swimming near the boat, and at one point, a giant osprey flew over where we were fishing!! So remember to bring your camera. Plus you get to catch some really cool ocean fish, even some big ones once in a while. I would suggest bringing sunscreen, food and water along with you. There are also a few little specialty shops at Robbie's. You can buy jewelry, hats, t-shirts, sunglasses, and other necessities for a week of fun in the sun. There is plenty of parking, and there is boat rental and a small resturant/cafe too. My next trip to Islamorada will inclue a stop at Robbie's Marina!

We went to feed the Tarpon and also booked a snorkel tour. The tarpons are big ugly fish, only my opion. But it was interesting anyhow. We snorkled at 2 sights. The 2nd by the light house was beautiful. Just a word of warning, if you have never been on the ocean or gulf and think you might get "sea sick", make sure to take dramamine the night before you go. Being out there and feeling sick will definantly wreck your fun. Overall the staff at Robbies are out going and made the trip lots of fun. Thank you.

the fish were great it is so neat to see the huge things jump up to catch the fish you dangle over the water you get a bit smelly feeding them but its a great time we have done it every time we drive by

i went twice in the same day in the morning and at night my family caught about sixty pounds of fish! it was great fun and the mates were very helpful and very nice... unlike at sailor's choice robbie's took us straight to where the fish were! at night, heading back to port, a pod of dolphin even followed us!

You must stop here. I liked everything about the site. The atmosphere was laid back and made you feel like you were an actually Floridian. For less than a gallon of gas, you can get up close and feed the huge tarpon fish and the pelicans. The little outdoor shops are cool and just right for that little something that you need to bring back to someone. And ladies, the cutest little purses!! Fishing and site seeing tours are available too. We stopped going into the Keys and also leaving. Their website is a "Keeper" in my vacation folder. I'll Stop Again, Candy F.

When crossing one of the many bridges of the overseas highway, look for Robbie's. Just outside of Islamorada when heading south. Great place for everyone, kids & adults! I hear the Tarpon jump out of the water & put on a show. Unfortunatly the afternoon we were there the Tarpon were losing out to the Pelicans! Still something we were glad to have done.

Stopped by with my kids and bought a bucket of smelly fish to feed Tarpon. These wild fish are huge, up to five feet long, and come out of the water to eat right out of your hand. Great short stop along your overseas hyway trip!

It is a lot of fun going to Robbies. They have the biggest fish you will ever see and you can feed them. You can go by boat or by land to get to the piers. A must see if you are in the area.
