It has been many years and it was known as Trident Villas. Incredible experience. Breakfast on the porch of our seaside villa. High tea and dinner in the candlelit dining room with waiters in gleaming red uniforms. Errol Flynn's ex ran the gift shop and we met his young son. Watched the shooting of one of many commercials made at the unique seaside pool A never to forget experience but a very long time ago. It was quite exclusive and upscale. I hope the tradition has continued including the peacocks who roam the property.

i love portland and trident hotel is a great getaway from the stress of life. It has a castle like appearance, very comfortable, the rooms are immaculate and the service is uncomparable, i would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to feel at home but in a stress free ambiance

We had arrived in Port Antonio that evening and were looking for a place to stay.It was getting dark and raining when we stumbled upon the Trident,as soon as we entered we could feel there was a special Ambience about the place which was fully revealed the next morning in the light of day. The rooms absolutely delightful and romantic with 4 poster bed and your own patio where you can have breakfast if you choose. The impeccably kept grounds with the resident peacocks adding a very colourful presence. The castle what a place to get married or keep a private function The private beach which was entered through an Archway and felt like you had found your own bit of paradise. The dining room setting which was an absolute delight you could almost feel the history and hear the numerous famous film stars such as Errol flynn and Raquel Welch who have stayed there.Above all the staff were immaculately turned out unfailingly polite and were the epitome of what customer service should be.

Trident is a truly beautiful location. We loved the staff, food and snorkeling at the private little beach. The room/villas are very elegant and importantly very private and have have everything you would need. The view from my terrace was so soothing - you can hear the sea rolling into the volcanic rock just a stones through from the room. We will be back and I am going to recommend Trident to my sister who will be getting married next April as her wedding destination.
