Sztuka cinema is an amazing place! Come rain or shine this is the place to go before or after a meal. We always pick a foreign film which has already had nominations for awards: the brilliant Danish lack comedy "Adam@s Apple" or "Testosterone" or a Korean arty film or the Polish sub-titled film about an orphan boy "Jestem" which told the story of an orphan boy escapee who did not see any misfortune in his impoverished life but just positive aspects to his daily struggles. Sztuka is the place I yearn for when in Stockport: cosy small SALON like a front parlour, the larger viewing rooms for popular or Western films & the variety of some six films on show each night! The staff (probably students) are knowledgeable about the films & will give you a true opinion when asked. Friday night is the Blind date night- pay up & what you will see is anybody's guess! Quite often it is will be a preview of something to test the audience or something obscure. For me the Sztuka cinema is addictive. It is civilised, safe & a non-threatening place where a woman can go to see a weepy whilst her husband watches something else in the complex or picks you up later for a meal.
