Overview
The building of the Czartoryski Museum itself is pretty and famous in its own right, but the museum is acclaimed in Poland for one particular painting. In fact, the hotel across the street from the museum uses its' proximity to this painting in its sales pitch! The painting in question is none other than Leonardo da Vinci's "Lady With An Ermine" and naturally, it is the number one attraction. Raphael's Portrait of a "Young Man" was stolen during the war and has unfortunately never materialised since. There is also a Rembrandt, as well as ancient Greek, Etruscan and Egyptian paintings.Open Hours
Tu to Sa from 10:00 AM to 06:00 PM, Su from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PMI Want To Live There! One of the world's great museums
I liked it because they was lots for my kids to do and also it was very relaxing in the adult room and swimming pool also there was a kids club which was great!
Da Vinci's "Portrait of Cecilia Gallerani (Lady with an Ermine)" and Rembrandt van Rijn's "Landscape with Good Samaritan" highlight an incredible collection of art, weaponry and armor that can only be found in this unassuming museum in Krakow's old city. A comprehensive world class exhibition that can only be rivaled by a handful of art and history museums in Europe. The exhibition is hosted in a large yet cozy old city house that makes you feel like sightseeing a home, not a museum. An absolute must see!
