Great long term placeby Yahoo | 2009-02-05 01:27:55 |

I stayed there from Jan-May of 2006 with my employer, and was very impressed. Never had to leave the area except to go to work and get a haircut. Course I did go to the mall and to some American fast food joints, but I felt safe and secure and felt very welcome here. The room was always made up perfect like I was a new guest every day. The staff knew me by name and after a while I didn't even have to sign in for breakfast or ask for coffee -- it was there for me. Great place I recommend it highly

Pleasantly surprised!by Yahoo | 2008-02-12 19:21:49 |

Overall the hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent. The superior room was spotlessly clean and very quiet. Although I was there only two nights, I did get to try the steak in the smaller ship called the Al Boom and found it very good, as well as the restaurant in the hotel. Although ready for the “visitors” to go back home, the atmosphere is still relaxed with a higher quality of clientele found in this upscale hotel, which is very much appreciated with this Western traveler. The small museum located near the large Dow by the sea wall was very well arranged and presented their history with the pride as it actually happened and not as someone wished it to be; I was quite impressed. Security still remains an issue as the front gate guard inspection will no doubt show the visitor upon arrival, so what entertainment you wish will be either kept within the compound or you will have to be driven to other locations as venturing on a “walkabout” will be quite out of the question.

It is a place to spend one nightby Yahoo | 2006-05-07 16:46:06 |

I like the facilities here, the pools, gym, and the Maritime museum. However I find the beds are really hard and the A/C never seems to get really cold. Their breakfast buffett is a little lacking. The worst thing about this place is the gym closes at 11p.m. and other Hotels in Kuwait offer 24 hour service. My company has sent me here about 4 different times and I am rating this place last behind the Hilton, The Crowne Plaza and the Sheraton.

very confortable stay! i would go back tomorro if i couldby Yahoo | 2006-05-01 02:40:33 |

the resort was beautiful!i do not have any dislikes of the place! the rooms were a great size the pools and sauna were great. the food in the restaurant was very nice. there was a little dislike about the room we were given, there was a really long walk down the hall way to the room. this could be a problem for elders.

This hotel is very nice and the staff really make you feel welcome! But the woman who works in the lounge on the 3Rd floor really went above and beyond to support her customers. The place was always clean and inviting no matter what time of the day. The fitness facility attached to the hotel is the best that I have ever seen.

Very comfortable hotel with excellent fitness facility. Great location and the SAS KUWAIT has is connected to some Kuwaiti landmarks. The rooms are not so large, but set up very well. The service is excellent here and you will not believe the indoor and outdoor pools!!
