Lady's Hotel Chorakukan occupies a pleasant 19th-century Meiji-era hotel and grounds on the slopes of Higashiyama adjacent to Maruyama Park and Yasaka Jinja. Within easy walking distance of the city center but located in a quiet neighborhood, the Chorakukan enjoys the best of both worlds. Sorry, but male guests are not allowed overnight, although the restaurant facilities are open to the general public.
