Not what I expected from Marriottby Yahoo | 2008-06-22 02:51:58 |

I have been staying at a Homewood Suites (Hilton's version of the extended stay hotel) for the past 2 months, so coming to the Residence Inn, I expected a comparable experience. The room I stayed in was a single w/ a king bed and no door separating the living space from the sleeping area. The furniture, carpeting, appliances and doors are run down and very outdated. Many areas in the kitchen and bathroom were not terribly clean upon our arrival. It's not a terrible place to stay, but for the money and the kind of service they advertise, I would have expected a better looking, more modern room.

Do not recommendby Yahoo | 2008-01-24 03:36:31 |

They advertise 100% non-smoking, but there are smokers everywhere. One evening, in the room next to us, there was a bachelor's party with dozens of men, strippers, and of course, smokers. Staff is rude and not helpful. Also, their Marriott rewards program is a joke. Your points are supposed to be logged automatically. Surprise of surprises... they aren't. Even when you fax them your receipt, they give you 10% of the points you're supposed to get. They can't get too much right. The only good thing about this place is the convenient location.

never againby Yahoo | 2007-05-04 14:28:15 |

the staff was bad and very rude.... the front desk manager and staff were to in to themselfs not worried about the customers. did not care about the guest.

Nice rooms, clean and quietby Yahoo | 2007-04-16 16:02:30 |

We hate having a trip compromised by run-down or unclean lodging. We hate paying for luxury we don't need (like a doorman). This place was a perfect fit. Our suite was totally up-to-date and smartly outfitted. We had two seperate bedrooms with doors - which meant I could share a suite with my mom and not go crazy. We used it to go to a wedding on campus - a five minute drive. Mediocre fitness room, but at least nothing was broken. Pool was clean and not wild with partiers. If you get a good price, I strongly recommend this Residence Inn.

Nice in La Jolla...by Yahoo | 2006-06-08 23:59:43 |

We were going to have a family vacation at the last minute and the Residence Inn was great! From the moment we got there they were wonderful. The room was nice and everything needed was accounted for. I had forgotten a suitcase and the desk provided items for us as well as directions to the stores that I was looking for. They were really kind and helpful. The hot tubs are in a diffrent space than the pool, my only complaint. We were so happy we stayed 2 extra days!

Blahby Yahoo | 2005-03-25 01:11:32 |

The staff is very average and can tend to display like it or leave it attitudes. The rooms and amenities are very rundown. For instance, our phone did not work, the micorwave sparked when turned on, the internal room doors were splintered and our shower curtain had been circled around a large tear with the name of the indibidual that first noticed the tear.
