Every once in a while you enter a gallery and find the exact piece of art you weren't expecting. I found this to be true in this gallery. I expected to find just more "California" or "Tuscan" art, but tucked away were some exceedingly well executed portrait oils by An He. The most spectacular I saw was one entitled "Romance" portraying a very beautiful woman in a formal rose garden. Her white gown catches the light and is stunning. For someone with a formal or elegant home, this painting was a knock out. The silver gilded framing suited it perfectly. I only hope we can go back and that it's still there to be purchased!
