Overview

This tiny cafe is an ideal stop for a quick lunch during a busy workday. The atmosphere is not elaborate, but local businesspeople frequent the cafe for tasty gourmet lunches. In fact, don't be surprised to see a line of customers extending beyond the front door. Breakfast options are simple and delicious. Try the Egg Sandwich or Spinach & Cheese Croissant. Later in the day, choose from a list of hot entrees, sandwiches and salads. Credit cards are not accepted with the exception of large catering orders, so bring cash. See website for menu and more.

Not going backby Yahoo | 2008-04-29 21:27:28 |

We pick some foods to order which is salmon with rice and veggie. And the food I picked up from display was heated up in microwave and served to me. The price is expensive for a food heated up in the microwave and called this a Gourmet. The food was in display counter and I was told it was on special; therefore, the expensive price was not listed in the menu.

Best Gourmet Food & Service in Town... and sandwiches too!by Yahoo | 2004-11-15 07:28:21 |

Diana and her crew put on a show, it's amazing how they pull it off with such style and delicacy. All meals are given the finest touches and attention to detail. My favorite: ham and swiss cheese sandwich for lunch with lots of Dijon mustard and lemon pepper. Sounds like a typical sandwich Mom can make, right? Well, wrong. This is the best sandwich I've had in the world (that's in over 22 countries I've visited and ate this plate so far). Congratulations for being among the best of La Jolla and the world too!Saludos,Nacho Hernandez Jr.

GOOD FOOD !!!by Yahoo | 2004-11-01 02:49:21 |

Wonderful sandwichws, salads and entrees. The designer cookies are marvels. I was standing in line with a woman who pointed out a cookie that looked like a Yorkshire Terrier dog - she told me her little Yorkie was the model. The owner took a picture to make the cookie design.
