Nice place to meet crocodiles face to faceby Yahoo | 2006-03-22 11:52:10 |

Crocodile farm is located in the north part of Langkawi. It is a nice place to see crocodiles of different types and ages. Pools are small and crowded of crocodiles. You will have to pay entrance fees as well as fees for each camera you bring in with you. different fees apply for video cams or normal cams. They have several shows where three persons perform with three crocodiles of different sizes and ages. It is nice but not so amazing. If you decide to visit crocodile farms, then make sure you visit other places in the neighbourhood such as rubber trees farms, bird paradise, craft village, crystal village (not so WOW!!), galeria perdana. you may also want to visit the black sand beach. The only important thing at the black sand beach is the large number of souvenir shops where you could get the lowest prices in Malaysia. You will see lots of wooden crafts, clothes, T-shirts etc... This is the place to buy from. don't bet on china town (KL) or any other duty free palce in Langkawi. (by the way, langkawi is a duty free island, so all shops are duty free) If you LIKE any item at the black sand beach shops then argue for its price as much as you can, then BUY it. I repeat, you will never be able to get a lower price anywhere in Malaysia. enjoy Langkawi and don't miss the Oriental Village with the Langkawi cable car in it. Most important of all don't miss the Mangrove tour. You will never forget this magnificient tour for the rest of your life.

The crocodiles had very small pools with little water. The water was all green and dirty. I felt sorry for them!! However our son, 3y liked it.
