Pulau Dayang Bunting (Island of the Pregnant Lady) is famed for a legend about a celestial princess disheartened after the death of her first child. As if to confirm the legend, the shape of one side of the island resembles a reclining pregnant woman. Nestled in the verdant valley is Tasik Dayang Bunting, Langkawi's largest lake. A good way to see this island and also Pulau Beras Basah and Pulau Singa Besar is with an "island hopping" boat tour. there's a big lake up in the island. you have to walk maybe 100 steps to reach the lake. don't forget to ask your boatman to lend u the life-jacket, cos the lake is too deep to swim without a life-jacket. nice view of the mountains from the lake.
