Overview

One of the most enduring hotels on Fremont Street, Fremont Hotel Casino opened in 1956, and at the time was the tallest building in Nevada. It now features a unique rooftop swimming pool and many great restaurants, including the Paradise Buffet, Tony Roma's and Second Street Grill. The nostalgic feel of the Las Vegas past permeates throughout this fine hotel. For excellent gaming opportunities, the bright casino is filled with every table game imaginable and slot machines galore. Rates are based on occupancy level and may fluctuate greatly. They have a wonderful buffet....everyone should try it!

Good Value, Basics Coveredby Yahoo | 2009-08-24 22:19:52 |

Most reviews are dead on about this place. Obviously refurbished and in good shape. Helpful, friendly staff. I requested a room away from Fremont and on a high floor but got just the opposite anyway. Perhaps that's all $36/night will buy? The 'experience' is quite loud, so try and get a quiet room if you go to bed anywhere before midnight. The promo photos show flat screen TV's but ours was standard and had poor sound. The bathrooms are small, yes, but well appointed. The casino is also small, but there's all of Downtown to gamble in, so why let that be a problem? Our room had two beds but only one extra blanket (which we didn't discover till middle of the night). There is no self parking, but the valet is free (except for tipping). The Paradise Buffet is good, but nothing extraordinary. The place is very popular with Hawaiians for some reason, so with little effort you might pretend you had gone to Waikiki instead.

Luv It!!by Yahoo | 2009-06-18 14:55:52 |

My husband and I stayed here in April of 09, to celebrate his 40th B-day. We had never stayed on Fremont St. before. We LOVED it! The hotel as nice and clean. The room would be too small for more than two people, but perfect for two. The rooms have been remodeled, very nice carpet, and headboards. Did not hear any noise from Fremont St. experiance when we we're sleeping. We will never stay on the strip again. The service @ all the casino's we visited was great. We could always get a drink! Plus, you can easily walk from one casino to another. We enjoyed our stay @ the Fremont, and a friend and I are going back in Aug., for the four free nights they have already sent us!

Beautiful Hotel for All!by Yahoo | 2008-12-19 05:01:43 |

The accommodations were comfortable and beautiful! It was so inexpensive and I didn't expect anything nice at all but it was a pleasant surprise to so how classy the lobby and rooms were. The casino had lots of food and games available at all hours and was in an awesome location next to the Fremont Experience. This is definitely the place to stay if you're going to be downtown!

Its cool for what you pay forby Yahoo | 2008-12-15 01:27:49 |

So myself and 3 other girls stayed her cause we wanted to save money. It's not as bad as everyone says. Sure the lobby smelled like smoke horribly, but the smell went away once you got up stairs... then again all the hotels lobbys smelled like smoke. The rooms was clean and the buffet was awsome. free champagne.. although it was very cheap tasting... but in Vegas.. who cares it's free! the bus came right next to the hotel so thats how we got to the strip. It was cool. Also the light show was easy access as well as Mermaids which is a casino that sells fried Oreos...mmmm! Over all.. If you want to enjoy Vegas and not break the bank, stay here. You can visit all the expensive hotels for free.

Reservations do not mean muchby Yahoo | 2008-10-14 20:33:16 |

After making a reservation at the Fremont eight months in advance, our group of eight found ourselves with nothing available that resembled our initial reservation. The only type of rooms that were availalbe were King size, smoking rooms; needless to say, the reservations were for non-smoking rooms. While previous experience with Boyd hotels were satisfactory, this one was absolutley terrible. Luckily, we were able to find accomodations at the Golden Nugget for a slightly higher price, but well worth the dollar....the room were fabulous, staff and dealers were pleasant...definitely a big step up from the "Fremont Hotel" experience.

completely satisfiedby Yahoo | 2008-01-05 04:15:18 |

First of all, they sent me a 5 day 4 nite stay for free. All I ever did was play there once on a previous trip, but stayed elsewhere. The rooms were still alittle small, but just fine for 2 people. They were very clean and neat, room service was great. After staying on Fremont street I have no desire to stay on the strip again. There was so much to see and do, there was no need to go anywhere else. The buffet was great, and I managed to play enough to get it free everyday, and I'm not a big spender. I would most certainly return there for my next trip. Big Plus...they keep sending me free days and nites to stay...which is awesome. Now all I need is a cheap flight to get there!

Wow!by Yahoo | 2007-12-30 14:10:18 |

Waiting to make reservation for November 07th to november 12th 2008 .by Yahoo | 2007-12-05 03:40:22 |

I like this place, for it meets my every thing that I expect of Las Vegas. Also it is so centralized, I can find any casino within a short, walking distance. It also full fills my hunger pains within my reach. I am still trying, to qualify to become a GOLD CARD holder permanently. I've been trying but haven't qualified yet. Please inform me what I need to qualify. Your immediate response will be highly appreciated. Sincerely, Valentino L. Tanodra

PARADISE Buffet is the BEST!by Yahoo | 2006-07-04 18:09:07 |

We visited Vegas for the 1st time as a family in June 2006 and stayed at the Stratosphere, Excalibur & Orleans. We ate at various restaurants in Vegas and the buffet at the Orleans, which is EXCELLENT in its own right. We visited the Fremont to see the LG light show and decided to eat there, since it was past dinnertime and a group of 9 of us, was hungry. We paid $9 ea.(for dinner) at the Paradise Buffet in the Fremont and had a PERFECT dining experience. The waiters filled our glasses, whether we were at the table or not, and were extremely polite. The atmosphere was Polynesian Tropical and very comfortable. There was not a huge variety of food of choices, but the quality of the food was EXCEPTIONAL. There was even a "live" Sushi Bar. Quality over quantity is definitely the theme here, and I doubt you will find a better buffet in Vegas, under $10 a person for any meal.
