Overview

A little white chapel with a steeple may seem rather odd in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. Inside, this charming place features wooden pews and a high open-beamed ceiling. It has been a popular choice for celebrities to tie the knot since 1967. Whoppi Goldberg and Patti Duke are just a couple stars who have recited vows here. Wedding packages can be simple or elaborate. The fees range include cost of marriage, the license fee and minister's donation. Arrangements for video photography and limousine can be made also.

Sad that it's gone...by Yahoo | 2008-06-16 07:48:11 |

Definitely the cutest chapel in Vegas. So sad that it's not there anymore--especially when I hear of others planning to return. I went through the surprise of not knowing ahead of time when we went to LV and there was construction going on at its site for yet another hotel...It was yellow when we married there in October 1983.

We got married there on 09-11-83 and we are going back on 9-11-08 with our kids to renew our vows. Been married 25 years.by Yahoo | 2008-04-29 02:29:27 |

We loved the Candlelight Chapel. We got married there on 9-11-83. We didn't have much money and we only had 1 day to get married. We bought each of us a nice shirt and we wore blue jeans and sandals. That was 25 years ago and we are going back this year on 9-11-08 to renew our vows. We have been back to Las Vegas several times since we got married and each time we go visit there and each time the person in charge there would let us in just to look and go down memory lane. Thanks. We have had 25 wonderful and happy years together.

Our Wedding Dayby Yahoo | 2008-01-27 09:10:01 |

For a quick Vagas wedding... The people that ran this facility made the time for us.. The night we got married March 2, 1988, Their were well over a hundred couples waiting in the font of the chapel, I was amazed at how many people where there in that little court area waiting with excitment and nervouse stomachs. I know thats how we felt. As it was Our turn we were taken in and had an official wedding, where I was walked down the Isle to my new groom by a family memeber. The minister at that time was the Greatest he took the time to have us recite the traditional vows, and also at the end of our Ceremony took my new Husband and I aside, and spoke some words of Wisdom and Love, at the end of his coversation, He said for us to always remain Boyfriend and Girlfriend, never become "husband and wife", and to this day I can honestly say, My groom after 20 years has and still calls me his "Girlfriend" and I still call him "Boyfriend " Our children think that gross, but I'm sure the love and respect we show to each other has greatly influence our children. We were 22 and 25 at the time, now we are 43 and 46 , there not kidding when they say time flies, We do plan to go back for our 21 st anniversary and recite or vow again, Where? in case you wonder, But where else ,other than the Little White Chapel. Thanks for making a great memory for us .

So nice!by Yahoo | 2008-01-24 19:42:25 |

We got married in 1995. The Chapel is Small and romantic, very nicely decorated, not expensive and it was just nice, it fits prob about 50 or a bit more people and everyone there is nice. I love that you had so many choices in packages and they were reasonable. I smile now that I am thinking about it. I wish I could do it again. :)

Was a heaven, what a shame!!!by Yahoo | 2008-01-18 21:18:39 |

Married there in 1978, retook our vows in 1984 when wife was pregnant with first child. We wanted to go back this year for our 30th anniversary but what a shame the Chapel is no longer there. Our daughter is visiting Las Vegas and could not find it. What a LOVELY place that was!!!!!!!.

5 Years and Counting!!by Yahoo | 2008-01-14 03:04:27 |

We were married at the Candlelight Chapel in Las Vegas in September of 2002. Our ceremony was simple and wonderful. You can choose the type of ceremony you want - something extravagant or something simple, like ours. J & K

We got married 11/21/92. The chapel was quaint and peaceful. It added a nice touch instead of just going to City Hall. The people were friendly and helpful. You could go from full dress (gown and tux)to jeans.
