Overview

This is a wonderful spot at the MGM Grand to spend an hour or two gazing at the lions and cubs in their multi-level, state-of-the-art showcase and natural habitat. These pampered cats are housed off-site and rotated every few hours, so you get to see a variety of the 30 or so MGM lions. Admission is free, but you will have a "photo opportunity" for pictures of you with the lions. There's also a gift shop, with lots of fun toys, stuffed animals and clothing. A portion of the proceeds goes to organizations dedicated to the preservation of lions.

Open Hours

Mo to Su from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Tropical Rainforest!~by Yahoo | 2008-07-04 00:58:32 |

Couldn't decide if this was our absolute fave hotel decor or not. We loved the rainforest & the lions...they looked like big sleepy kitty cats until feeding time about 8pm I think. Very nice & free show.

The lions were beautiful and huge. I was told that they were just babies. Man they were so big babies. I like everything. I got to take pics of them. No pushing was done. Everybody was nice.

The lion habitat was really awsome. you could actually walk underneath the lion when the lion is resting on the plexiglass. I would highly recomend this to people who are not exposed to the wildlife environment. Remember its free for the watching, I just wish they would allow people to go in for a fee, I would certainly be the first to do that.

Timing is Everythingby Yahoo | 2008-05-03 23:35:45 |

The Lion Habitat is a great freebie for anyone passing by at the right time. Its not worth waiting in line, but if its not too crowded you can get some pretty good pictures.

Free attractions are always the best!by Yahoo | 2008-03-26 03:50:53 |

You only see a couple of lions sleeping and playing around, but when you see them for free and take lots of pictures of them, up-close, you know its one of the best experiences you can enjoy at Vegas. I was looking for some friends over the casino and could not help to stop and look at these beautiful creatures. The trainers were playing with them and inevitably you feel like a kid again, mesmerized by their actions and playfulness. Its a must see for the kid in you (or your kids)

Just Okayby Yahoo | 2008-03-21 03:55:37 |

I liked seeing the lions, but there were tons of people crowding the glass. The exhibit seemed really small. The trainers were playing with them when I visited.

The Lions aren't shy!!!!by Yahoo | 2008-03-08 10:35:22 |

When we walked by on 3/5...the two lions were getting it on!!! Besides that, it's was fun watching them play ball and "test" the water, etc. A great 10-15 minute stare at the lions and it's a FREE to do thing in Vegas!
