Its reputation as one of the best theaters outside London is well deserved: productions range from innovative, contemporary plays to toe-tapping musicals. In the past, the theatre has attracted a veritable who's who of modern British theatre, including Prunella Scales, Timothy West, Steven Berkoff and Patrick Stewart.
