Overview

The Chiado Church was built in 1839 by the architect Nuno Álvares Pereira. Relics of medieval Lisbon, this imposing gothic monument survived the earthquake of 1755. In the Chiado museum, you can see prehistoric and roman objects. Concerts of classical music are organised during the summer.
