Overview

Palacete dos Marqueses de Pombal, a small neo-classically styled palace, was built by the well-known trader José António Pereira in the renaissance era. Acquired by the Pombal family in 1850, this great palace was given to the Mocidade Portuguesa (young persons association that is related to the old dictatorship) in 1968. It is a good example of the small urban palace style. Nowadays, it is used as the Old Art Museum.
