Overview

This beautiful, park-like cemetery has been called the "Westminster Abbey of Arkansas" because of the number of notable Arkansans buried here. From state governors, to Confederate Generals, to newspaper editors, this cemetery is like a who's who of Arkansas history. The grave of David O. Dodd, a 17-year-old who was executed as a confererate spy, is one of the main attractions. Besides the historical draw, the beauty of the cemetery's flowers, honeysuckle vines and shade-tree lined paths adds to the enjoyment of this lovely outing.
