Overview

Were it not for the fact that Searcy's is at the Barbican Centre, it would doubtless entice a clientèle interested in the food alone, rather than its added convenience for the theater. Its current location is far from purely functional, since it has tremendous views of St Giles Cripplegate Church, and the Barbican's fountain-strewn lake, while dishes such as roast halibut with tomato, caramelised apple and shallots are wonderfully accomplished. The service (all important if there is a theater booking involved) is delightfully efficient. Check website for further details.
