Overview

This is one of London's most prestigious shopping venues and serves as a glittering tribute to opulent and stylish things. Owned by Mohammed Al Fayed, each floor scales the heights of designer fashion clothing and accessories, luxury furniture, cosmetics, fine jewelery and classic toys. If you are in a hurry, you can have a complimentary Harrods personal shopper assist you. This Knightsbridge palace has 19 cafés and restaurants, an online casino and a pet department. Harrods's own brand provisions make perfect presents; you can have your purchases delivered anywhere in the world. In the basement, Al Fayed has erected a small gilded tribute to Princess Diana and his son Dodi who died tragically in August 1997.

Food And Clothesby Yahoo | 2007-06-13 23:22:12 |

This was a very unique experiance. Everywhere you walked there had to be a little shop. Exploring fabric and designer stores was unbelievable. The items seemed to be of much value and there was a shine to this place. The smell of food was everywhere and the best crepe shop is around somewhere there. Although it may have been a but crowded when I visited, I found things there that I had never seen before. Great experiance and an absolute must see.

Hooked on Harrodsby Yahoo | 2006-11-22 10:48:05 |

Adore the atmosphere and the glitz, it is like being on a Glam planet 12 months a year. Its a pleasure to shop there because of the no nonsense attitude of the security guards who control the behaviour of certain types that only set out to ruin the day for decent people. I want Harrods to go on forever just like it is I am proud that we have such a beautiful shop in London with so many assistants always ready to help. It is always worth the time and money, especially to get little gifts that you dont find elsewhere. Pauleen

I Miss You, Lady Diby Yahoo | 2006-06-18 21:36:27 |

I went to Harrods to see the Dodi and Princess Di memorial. (The doorman showed me in after he agreed to a picture) The memorial was very moving and I signed the guest book....I will forever miss them both! (If I'm not mistaken, the memorial is on the 3rd floor) I wanted a snack and went so I to the "food court" and ordered some ice cream. One scoop was the U.S. equivalent of $5.00. (Ouch, that hurts) However, it was served with a sterling silver spoon and I found that to be classy. I walked around some and found that the prices were out of reach and the merchandise was out of touch, so I left. Go to see the memorial and tell me door man cheers, from me!

A fun place to look aroundby Yahoo | 2005-08-17 01:14:01 |

Harrods is a famous department store where you can find almost anything under the sun. Ultra-luxe items and an incredible selection make this a fun place to browse for hours. The food hall is especially cool--packed with gourmet goodies (and one of the few departments where I was able to afford anything!)

It's too dark! And too many people.. And the stores was, yeah you know, like a little bit OLD! And downstairs it smells awful. I hate that center!

WOW, what a supermarketby Yahoo | 2004-06-28 10:43:24 |

The best thing about Harrods is the food hall. You can find absolutelly everything you ever wished to have for cooking tonight. From the most bizarre strawberries to the most common watermelon, going through fresh oysters, lobsters, meat, spanish ham, italian parma ham , etc, etc. Then you can also go and pick up some great french baguette on the bakery, sweet yourself with the only Krispy Cream store in London and finally end up having a marvelous latte in the cafeteria. Oh, the prices? They will bite you a bit, but is worth paying for some luxury food from time to time.
