Overview
Yes, there is a little bit of England to be found in Hollywood. Here, the outside Patio is situated around a fountain and is a great spot for people to watch while downing some of England's finer brews. In cooler weather, heat lamps warm up the scene. Inside there is a large bar and the entire place is also a restaurant featuring British menu favorites. As a watering hole, however, you can not find a cooler pub on this side of the pond.Open Hours
Mo to Su from 11:30 AM to 02:00 AMMy friends and I reserved the back room for a good-bye party last weekend. We had 20-25 people there. It took so long for the waitress to come to the table that I finally went to the bar. All I wanted was a mocha, but when I asked the bartender, she said "what's a mocha?" I said, it's on your menu. She said the waitress can help you with that and turned her back! I then informed the hostess that the bartender was not helpful at all. She laughed and said "I know!" and walked away. When the waitress finally did come, she got everyone's order, brought everyone's drink and forgot mine. I said "can I get the mocha I ordered?" and she said, "yeah, when I get a chance. I have to make it." People had their food before I finally had a coffee with some syrup thrown in. Don't waste your time or money. The atmosphere would be nice if the service wasn't so horrible. **By the way, if any of the staff, especially the owner is reading this, it takes just as much effort to be friendly as it does to be rude. I'm spreading the word--as well as the 20 others in my group--to not go back.
Pros: The waitress was awesome. The patio was georgous. Cons: The food was terrible. The hostesses were unbelievely rude... I can't be bothered to take the time to write the whole story - but two hostesses picked fights on three occasions with different members of our party. Then continued to be rude to us throughout our bland, greasy, overpriced, poorly presented meal. The waitress was awesome though... This has been my experience the past 3 times I've been there. I won't go back. Neither should you.
They have been around for over 20 years! wow that is rare in LA. They are a real family owned and family oriented restaurant. Very accomodating staff and great place to sit and relax on the patio for happy hour or bundle by the fire inside with some fish and chips and a guinness on a winter day.
The Place is really cool. The service is terrible. The owner can be a real beeatch. She'd rather be right that be a smart business woman. We went to see about having a going away party (leaving LA LA) there. It was a Sat. morn, the gates to the joint were open...we saw someone there and walked in to ask about having our party there. All she had to say was, "the person you need to talk to will be here in a few minutes" but NOOOOOOOOO ~ she had to make us see how rude and terribly mannered we were for disrupting her breakfast...that's cool. We took our business somewhere else and I would love to send her the gross reciepts from our party!
I love this restaurant. The food is delicious and comes in huge portions...it's just a great, authentic, English pub with a quaint eating area outside in the front, complete with fountain and twinkling lights. Everytime I go, I have a wonderful time.
