Overview

Built in the 15th century, this inn (its function until the 19th century) was one of the many that catered to merchants and travelers in a district renowned for its markets. The lovely building was recently restored to preserve its elegant façade, which conceals one of the most beautiful interior courtyards and mezzanines of the quartier. A traboule, a sort of passageway specific to Lyon, leads to 10 quai R. Rolland and is full of historical and architectural surprises: vaulted arches from the end of the Middle Ages and a Renaissance style shell-shaped waterwell. Free to enter.
