Overview

The area around the capital's major square and underneath its arches is full of shops selling items relating to bullfighting, home decorating, car maintenance, traditional sombreros (hats) and flamenco costumes. It's particularly worth visiting on Sunday mornings when stamp and coin collectors set up stalls alongside postcard vendors, cigar sellers and people selling lottery tickets.
