Overview
EDSA Shrine was built to mark the birthplace of People Power, the 1986 spontaneous uprising that put an end to the Marcos dictatorship. EDSA is short for Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, and it was here that millions converged and toppled the totalitarian Marcos regime without bloodshed. The shrine, topped by a mammoth bronze statue of the Virgin Mary, is regularly used for religious services. In 2001, it became the scene of another popular uprising (People Power II), which ousted Joseph Estrada from the presidency.A Comforting seat in the middle of lotssa noise!!I WANT TO BE THERE AGAIN!!!!very historical
The Edsa Shrine in Manila, was my place of refuge and strength for over three months. i lived in manila and worked down the road from the shrine... everyday i passed it and would be a part of the Eucharist here. i felt at home at EDSA.. i knew i was home with my God
Tabemono to iruiromono ga suki desu. firipinjin no hito wa honto ni shinsetsuna hito desu.Manira no machi wa nigiyaka dashi, nedan ga yasuishi sorekara "I want to be there again" desu kara.
