The hotel's gardens have won numerous prizes for their style and beauty. They contain a selection of olive trees, bougainvillea, araucarias, avocado trees, acacias, hibiscus and pine trees that surround a complex of bungalows that look like an upmarket tropical residential estate. The luxurious five-star accommodation is in bedrooms, suites and bungalows decorated in typical Andalusian style. Prince Alberto de Hohenlohe masterminded this pioneering project in quality tourism that opened in 1954, well before the Costa del Sol boom of the 1960s.
