Overview

Permanent and temporary exhibitions here reflect developments in ceramic art in Marseilles and Provence, as well as in France and Europe. Find memorabilia from the Neolithic period to the modern day. On display are items from a variety of French potteries, including pieces by the Clérissy, Joseph Fauchier and Leroy workshops. Visitors get a double helping of fabulous local heritage as the museum is a masterpiece in itself: housed in one of the few late 19th-century bastides (Provençal country house) to remain intact.
