Overview

Top-notch entertainment and perfectly prepared cuisine make this a premiere Maui attraction. A little island history: Lahaina used to be known as Lele. In those long-ago days, gala royal feasts were held along the beach. They featured the best food, music and dance of the island. This is a reconstruction of the ancient royal celebrations. Executive Chef James McDonald presents a mouth-watering array of specialties representing all the regions of Polynesia.

Food was horribleby Yahoo | 2005-08-22 13:08:21 |

We were very excited for our first Hawaiian Luau - and although the entertainment (the show and the band) were nice and the atmosphere was beautiful, the food was the most horrible food we experienced on both the island of Maui and the island of Oahu during our 10 day trip. The service was attentive, but yet the food just could not cut it. We never asked for a 2nd serving of any of the food and make a quick stop at a fast food rest. on our way back to the hotel. It was very disappointing for the cost per person that they charge. My son (8 yrs old) was not thrilled with the choice of food selection and they did not offer nor did they have a child's menu when I asked the servers at the luau (but they advertise differently). Luckily this is the ONLY bad meal we had during our stay. Additional comment

Excellentby Yahoo | 2005-07-20 20:56:06 |

Excellent food (many courses), includes drinks, outstanding show (we lucked out and got a table front and center). Our first luau so we don't have anything to compare it to, but we really enjoyed it. More of an adult atmosphere.

Outstanding!by Yahoo | 2004-09-07 00:26:28 |

Dinner, show, sunset and ocean. 20 different things to eat. Great hula dancing with beautiful women. Very entertaining. I loved the whole experience. Better than Marriot luau. A 10.
