The name of this old colonial house beside the Plaza Bolívar, was chosen in honour of the popular artist and "architect of the Andes", whose main work is the Religious-Artistic Complex found in the town of El Tisure. You will find an interior garden and several exhibition rooms with permanent and temporary displays by popular artists. The premises also hosts workshops in visual arts, music, cooking, drawing and ceramics. In addition to being the home of the Juan Félix Sánchez Cultural Centre, the complex also houses the headquarters of the Comisión Nacional de Artesanos (National Artisans Commission) and the Cantoría Infantil de Mérida (Mérida Youth Choir). Admission is free.
