Overview
When traveling with children, "The Kite" Museum (in the Nahuatl language, butterfly ) is an ideal place to visit. Opened in 1993 the museum offers a hands-on, interactive, ultra-modern experience, including an IMAX theatre. It is divided into five major sections dedicated to discovering the Human Body, Communications, Our World, Expressions and Con-Ciencia (a play on double meanings: "Con-science" to also mean With-science). Workshops, a theatre, restaurant and a gift shop are also open to the public.Upcoming Events Near Papalote Museo del Niño

This place is the best place a kid can go to. THe shows given, the bubbles... I only got to go once, or twice, but it was probably the best experience i had as a child! I love this place! You need to see it to believe it!
This is so great! if you love to waste money on a tour thats only in spanish and so u have no idea whats going on then this is for u!!!
I like the interactivity of everything!!! I just loved it.
We only visited once while we lived in Mexico City, however, it was definately a fabulous experience. My daughter was ten at the time and enjoyed everything. There is a huge floor puzzle of Mexico as you enter the museum with all the mexican states. we spent a good half an hour putting it together. It was great! All of the exihibits are in Spanish only but we were able to figure out how to work most of them. I would definately recommend this museum. I would opt for a visit during the day as it seems less busy, I've heard that evenings can be very packed.
