Deathly Sick from ACby Yahoo | 2009-07-29 02:48:27 |

Everything good about this hotel is negated by the awful air system. I was with a group and several people got sick. I came home with double lung infections. Bad infections. There was not any fresh air circulated at all. We had everything from mold to cig smoke to who knows what being forced into our lungs.People with Asthma had a horrible time. Stay at your own risk!

We couldn't wait to went back!!!!!!!!!!by Yahoo | 2008-08-11 00:58:10 |

On web site it was showing that hotel is right cross the beach. But we got suprised when we arrived and only thing we found was a river or something. The pool was dirthy. Bottom line I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to HYATT REGENCY MIAMI for vacation. For that price you can get another hotels with better location( with privet beaches e.t.g)

Great stayby Yahoo | 2008-07-13 08:21:25 |

we got a reservation for hyatt regency miami through priceline. the line was a little be long, i guess it was just a coincidence, that we got there around peak time. but checkin in was painless. all the workers were helpeful, and any extra request placed for the concierge, they acted on it right away. they were helpful and friendly. getting a taxi wasn't a problem, there were plenty of taxis to hire. our room had a great view, had a balcony overlooking downtown. bayside mall is nearby, and the free train that goes through miami is easy and free to use. even though were visitors, signs were easy to follow and read when getting off the train, you have to walk through the convention center in order to get back to the hotel. one would be easily lost but with the friendly signs, we walked like we were regular floridians. it was definitely a great and relaxing stay to start off before a cruise vacation. the rest of our group that took the red eye from the west coast to get on the cruise were quite envious because we looked relaxed, refreshed and ready for our vacation cruise since we stayed the day before at the hyatt regency rather than them, where they took the red eye, looking haggard.

Bad Bad Bad!by Yahoo | 2008-04-08 08:55:17 |

you'd expect more from a 4-star hotel and this price. there are so many better hotels in miami you can stay in instead of this. this hotel needs a renovation!!

An Unforgetable Tripby Yahoo | 2008-03-28 15:55:42 |

The room was very nice. The bathroom is nice. The tub and toilet in one room. A sink outside with a deviding wall from the bed provides a dressing room. Very nice touch. The unforgivable part is, They had a fire. We had no electic for the night and the next day. When we got back to the Hotel at 9pm we found out we had to relocate to a new hotel. The staff did a great job of finding 600 plus rooms for everyone and puting up with people complaining. One lady offered us a free breakfast, but when we did checkout the man gave us 1/2 off the first night there. My sister said "Debbie, What will you say for your review on line". The man said no don't do that. Then he made the next night free also. I liked this Hotel better than the Coral Gables. Gables pool is nicer, but the Miami room at least had drawers to put your clothes in.

overratedby Yahoo | 2008-01-11 00:00:15 |

the hotel is very overrated for the price you pay to stay there. my room was very noisy due to construction right outsid emy door, why? the room living space is way to cramped due to a wall that is not necessary , we couldn't figure out why it was there . yes a wall right in the middle of the room the food in the sports bar downstairs was terrible and several items listed on the menu "weren't available because they were changing things"..they need too ! if i were to go back i would stay at the holiday inn , biscayne bay , way more conveinent to restaurants , shopping etc. plus you save money

Would wait until renovations are doneby Yahoo | 2007-11-26 06:04:18 |

We stayed here in Nov. 07. Our experience was OK, but I am glad that we did not pay more than $100/night on Priceline. I think it is more of a business/convention center hotel than for vacationers. The room amenities seemed shabby and worn out for a Hyatt, and there were very dusty areas in our room, spots on the wall, safe had fallen off the wall attachment. Half of the hotel rooms are currently under renovation. Staff was very helpful and responsive to our requests, but I would rather not have had to ask them to fix the musty smell and dusty vents in the room in the first place. Location downtown is convenient to some things, but there is nothing pretty about the immediate surroundings, esp. with the construction next door. It was nice having Enterprise car rental and self service parking available for $12.25/night, though the walk to the parking garage is kind of sketchy when deserted at night. There is a walkway to an office building next door that has a Starbucks and Au Bon Pain, as well as Metromover stop. I think this hotel will be a lot nicer whenever they finish their renovations.

not a bad place for a cruiserby Yahoo | 2007-10-31 06:04:06 |

the hotel is walking distance to shopping and has very easy access to the cruise ships. It was my first time to Miami and this is one of the things that makes me want to come back again.

Next Miami trip, will only stay at this Hyatt Regency.by Yahoo | 2007-10-15 23:12:03 |

Their Cleanliness is unbeatable. The room was always impeccably clean. Loved the convenient location. It is ideal for taxi, train (local), or driving, whatever your choice or need while in Miami. Their service is almost unbeatable. My only complaint was the wait for a table for their spectacular, delicious breakfasts. On one occassion we had a 20 minute wait for service. But the meals are unbelievabley great, as is the service once seated. Our stay here was most enjoyable and one that matched our wishes for a fun, non-stressed, vacation perfectly.

Not What I Expected For a Hyatt Hotelby Yahoo | 2007-09-23 21:43:25 |

The hotel is currently (9/07) in the middle of a long overdue renovation. The rooms that are still in service are old, dirty, and in need of updating. Every room (and I tried several) have a old, musty smell. The showers are old and have mold build up on some tiles. The bathroom floor tiles in several rooms were damaged. There is a full construction project in progress at the hotel. The construction starts at 7:30a and last until 4p. This made sleeping during the day time impossible. The walkway to the hotel parking lot(actually the convention centers lot) was very dark, and dangerous. Several female guest of the hotel expressed their surprise and shock at the poor level of security leading thru the Convention Center and to the parking lot. On a positive note, the entire staff were very professional and polite. The service they provided saved my 6 night stay. Although the room was dirty and old, the beds and linen were always very clean. I would advise anyone thinking about this hotel to "think twice" before staying here. I would strongly suggest waiting until the construction is over.
