Overview

Housed in the historic Palazzo Moriggia built in the 18th Century, the Museo del Risorgimento was once the seat of the Office of Foreign Affairs and then Office of War until it passed into the hands of the city of Milan in 1900. The museum contains weapons, paintings, photographs, and a vast collection of documents pertaining to the history of the unification of Italy, from the Napoleonic period to 1870. There's a new multimedia and interactive learning facility as well as constantly changing exhibits. guided tours are available. Check website for admission and other details.
