Waste of moneyby Yahoo | 2008-11-09 20:39:29 |

Don't go, its a waste of money and time! Go to the one in San Francisco!

Pilchards!by Yahoo | 2006-11-03 19:43:29 |

it used to be more entertaining, at least in a drunken, already done everything else and it's rainy and cold sort of way. The Sardines, Pilchards, that is, on teh conveyor belt used to move and flop around and somehow, maybe being drunk and all, it was hilarious to see...at least maybe once. I went back with the kid years alter and somehow it was less funny, especially with the rubber fish just sitting there.

Not A Highlightby Yahoo | 2006-10-12 22:53:36 |

I don't think this is one of the highlights of the Monterey Bay, even Cannery Row. It's a poorly lit basement with wax figures in it. For $7 per person, you walk through and look at wax figures/mannequins while a tape plays. The adults and children in our group did not find this entertaining or informative. I was very surprised to see this rated #12 on the "to do" list. We found it to be dark, dirty and creepy.

Not worth it!!!by Yahoo | 2005-10-23 01:27:46 |

This isn't on my personal list of "things to do" in monterey. First thing its kind of like a guided tour. But not a tour guide, only a timed lighting system. After a long poor quality audio narration of what you see infront of you, simply walk on to the next scene in history. The sign said over 100 wax characters but it seemed alot less. I was amazed that somebody would charge $7.00 per person for that wax museum. Do yourself a favor and find something else to do.

Great place to visit in Montereyby Yahoo | 2005-06-14 23:10:07 |

Very few tourists take advantage of this wax museum. I lived in Monetery for several years before actually visiting. It has a wonderful history of the bay and some amazing wax figures. It si definitely worth the little bit of money it costs to get in. Definitely worth the time and is a great place to visit with the kids
