With many excellent restaurants, guided tours, and interesting shops, this landmark has something for everybody. Whether you wish to dine on incredible seafood, go for a whale-watching tour, look at historical artifacts, or purchase exotic candy, you can do it here. Some of the best eateries in all of Monterey are found here. It can also be a great place to buy freshly caught fish or just walk around and look at all the pelicans lingering about. Various special events are held throughout the year. Credit card acceptance varies by store. See website for more.Open Hours
Mo to Su from 05:00 AM to 12:00 AMWe go ever year for the Pro-Am at Pebble Beach and make sure that we have one whole day just to hang out at the Wharf!!! We whale watch, eat, just chill and enjoy the sites and sounds!!! Would not trade this trip for anything!!! I look forward to it ever year!!!!!!!!!!
The first time we were in Monterey (2004) we missed this. I am glad we found it now in 07. It is a neat row of shops, a beautiful ocean view and a nice place to see the seals. Be sure to take the walk down to the coast guard dock from Fisherman's Wharf to see the beautiful coastal foliage and animals.
There are some nice restaurants on the wharf. It's a good atmosphere, family friendly. You can get whale watching tours from here. There are several shops. All in all a nice place to go. I live in Monterey for a year and four months while in training for the Navy. I certainly enjoyed it.
we had an experience of a lifetime here.WE loved the view, and the atmosphere was awesome. The food, second to none. Will go back.Try the seafood.
It is an old, rather dumpy, sometimes littered pier which is lined with mostly restaurants, trinket places and other retailers. You can get great value at many of the restaurants but read the menus so you go somewhere for food you specifically want... but what makes walking the pier fun... are all the visitors and people who are there too... great sites... fun to sit and just "people watch"... and on those good clear, sunny days the view is wonderful.
Great atmosphere and a lot of fun to walk around. Can be a bit pricy if you don't know where to look for lunch! But overall a good experience and a nice place to go on week days for lunch with family or friends.
I've always enjoyed Fisherman's Warf. Coming here on a weekend and enjoying the nice weather and just taking a stoll on Fisherman's Warf or take walk along the beach and see the sea lion up close. They have a lot of good places to eat and and lots of shops to shop at.
Commercialized tourist trap. Leave your wallet at home and enjoy the sights. The shops are well kept. Sideswalks are passable. Restaraunts and snack shops (Dip n Dots...) are plentiful. However, it is not anything I care to waste my money on.
What a great experience! from the whale watching tours to the restaraunts, to the little shops, a fun place to be. You can enjoy it on next to no money just for the wildlife along the warf, including several types of sea birds, California Sea Lions, and sea otters.
It was okay. I thought it would be like San Franciso's but it was not. It was small. There were not a lot of good places to eat. Not a lot of good shops either. You will leave there thining "is this it?"
