Overview

Built for Expo '67 on Île Ste-Hélène, La Ronde remains the largest amusement park in Quebec. There are more than 35 rides, and the spectacular Ferris wheel can be seen across the St Lawrence river in Montreal proper. La Ronde is also the site for the annual SAQ Mondial Fireworks Competition, the largest in the world. It attracts more than 1.2 million visitors a year, all within a four month period!

Place is Nastyby Yahoo | 2008-11-19 19:50:37 |

All the rides were running 1 train (even though they have more) with huge lines and the staff is extremely slow and lazy. Garbage and graffiti everywhere, the windows on the tower ride are held on with duct-tape. Because of the bad operation the only way you can actually do anything is with a gold FlashPass which are expensive. I wouldnt reccomend it unless you really want to ride Goliath, even then just ride everything once and get the heck out. The only redeeming quality is its in one of the greatest cities in the world, Montreal is beautiful.

Didn't even make it to La Rondeby Yahoo | 2007-05-18 15:51:24 |

Last year we planned our trip around the park but the web site was not clear about when the park was open for weekends only so we end up in Montreal when the park was closed (last week in August, 2006). We had ordered tickets with our airmiles points which were wasted. After the trip, we emailled La Ronde explaining this and asking if the tickets could be exchanged for ones for this year, but we never even got a reply back.

Well La Ronde is certainly one of those places I would not ever want to go back to. The are a pretty good selection of rides, which is the only redeeming value. The park staff are very unhelpful and most cannot speak english. I would only recommend this park perhaps if you are going with children. 2 of the major rollercoasters were closed, on a saturday, in perfect weather. I didnt understand that. The lines are extremely long, they do have some sort of rapide access tickets available. If you have any other options I would recommend them.

Getting To Know An Amusement Parkby Yahoo | 2006-04-19 22:54:16 |

I loved La Ronde. It is interesting and beautiful. The rides are immense and enjoyable. No matter hat type of person you are there is always a type of ride wating for you that you wouldn't get your eyes off. If your tired then you are supplied to rest with and along with all the food provided. But best of all,the rides were the best. I hope you will also enjoy it. Check it out. It's amazing! -Nadia Anona

Greatby Yahoo | 2005-11-23 02:14:10 |

there is not much to dislike except for all the garbage thrown around, like when you are waiting to go on the Monster there is alot of thrash and graphitti on the walls.

Permanent Country Fairby Yahoo | 2005-08-16 19:12:26 |

Six Flags should be embaressed to have its name associated with this park. Other than the new area I dont think the rides have had a coat of paint in 10 years. The entire park was extremely unkempt. Employees or lack there of were rude and really didn't care about what was going on around them. In 2 8 hour days spent at the park I only saw 2 security officers which clearly explained why most of the park rules were not adhered to. Children jumped lines, people were smoking everywhere and most of the rides only had 1 train running despite lengthy line ups. The lack of landscaping made the park unbearably hot and few places provided shade for relief. Overall I think people would get more value from attending a local fair.

I loved it.by Yahoo | 2005-04-14 19:36:50 |
