Overview
Located partially in the Latin Quarter, this is one of the largest gay neighborhoods in North America. Although known mostly for its wild nightlife, the area bustles with dozens of cafes, bistros, boutiques, antique shops, restaurants and taverns. There are also beautifully renovated homes, lovely gardens and a proliferation of flowers. August is the time for the Divers Cité gay pride parade, which, together with the huge Black and Blue party in October, attracts nearly half a million participants.Open Hours
Mo to Su from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AMTouring the city and the gay village were made very easy with an all welcome service called "LookOut Info" of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They do offer a list of gay community details for free on their website with much more added for all to see daily. They also have a city tour travel service network to help you get around the city plus even helpful suggestions too. As any globe traveller would appreciate their fantastic services upon arrival or before arriving too. Your experience to this great international city of the world will be to the restaurant flavours of their French culture also. Please enjoy your trip, as much as we have this year. We plan to return again very soon. So "Bon Voyage" (good trip) as the French say !
I was sexually harassed and intimidated. Very uncomfortable environment. My wife and I left the viscinity urgently. If I ever acted toward a female in the same way gay men acted towards me in this neighborhood, I would probably be arrested. I wish they were more sensitive to the fact that some hetero men such as myself do not appreciate such lude behavior. It was as though they were dogs in heat.
i loved the gay bars and the bathhouses and the convience of gay life right there for you and i love old montreal and its the next best place to europe.i have beenn there three times and going again Joe Muzzillo
The best place in the world for TV, TG, gay and lesbian people. Everybody is so warm and friendly and there is a lot of places to go out, restaurants, bars, boutique...
What a fantastic GUEST HOUSE situated off of Sainte Catherine directly in front of one of the nicest City Parks in the area and some very nice and beautiful looking homes in the area.
