Overview

This is likely the most famous bar in Russia, popular with Russians and foreigners alike. There are two dance floors, but the punters are everywhere by midnight, both on the floor and on the tables. The Hungry Duck is also infamous for its striptease shows; late at night, women should be prepared to be hauled on stage with professional male dancers. Of course, the women pay two or three times less than the men - all in all, it's not for the fainthearted.

      In 2007 I was in Moscow for the first time. A doorman from the Hotel I was staying at suggested the Hungry Duck for a nights entertainment. I soon found out why. When I entered and was thourghly searched I was overwhelmed by the mass of beautiful women most dancing together on the dance floor. I hailed a drink from the bar and instantly asked "American". Upon my affirmative nodthe rest of the night was making new friends and party time. The "Ladys of the evening" were soon known. The "Party Girls" were wanting dance and drink time. And those "Sincere Companions" wanted to know more about why I was in Moscow. By closing time early the next morning I had dance, drank, talked and rubed my way through them all. And a good time was had by all. Now when in Moscow I make it a point to Duck and Grab with one of my "Sincere Party Girl Companions". Crowded - very much so. Drinks - expensive but sometimes free from friends. Women - Beautiful. Men - Either your friend of enemy as the drinks flow. Care should be taken

      My visit to the Hungry Duck was awesome.It's location was only a short cab ride from the Moscow Ricks apartment I had rented.The fact that it is open until 6;00 am makes it the only place you have to go to see it all. The ratio of female patrons to male patrons was at least 2 to 1.A great place to meet exciting new people and observe Russian nightlife at it's best! Even in the dead of winter it was so hot inside the club that one could not wear a jacket. When I return to Moscow I will definately return to The Hungry Duck.There is no place like it anywhere!
