the absolute worse hotel experience of my life! from the time i walked in, the two girls at the front desk were EXTREMELY rude to us. after going to the room i complained that the room was not cleaned.. they immediately charged my discover card and said "then leave. we have already charged your discover card as we have a cancellation policy." what does that have to do with the room not being clean and smelling like mold and mildew!!!! they basically forced us to stay there by charging my card. the hot water would not work, the walls were dirty, the floor was filthy.. the a/c looked like it had been there for 30 years and the screen was falling in. the bathroom had hairs all over it. GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were there for a cheerleading competition. i hope i never have to go back to myrtle beach after my hotel experience and that is sad because the boardwalk was cool. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. WHAT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE IS THEY CHARGED US 119.00 AS A DEAL FOR OUR TEAM BOOKING SO MANY ROOMS.. HOWEVER, THE WALK IN RATE WAS 99.00. THIS WAS A 29.00 HOTEL! FILTHY.

We were throughly pleased with our stay. The rooms were immaculate and tastefully furnished. Everything worked in the hotel (ice-machines). The personnel from the front desk, breakfast ladies, and housekeeping were both courteous and helpful. Management at Fairfield Inn should be proud of their staff! You could walk to "Broadway at the Beach". The parking at Fairfield Inn was great as there were plenty of spaces. You were about 5 minutes from the beach (35th Avenue has public beach access). We just drove the car and parked on the side of the street and walked to the beach (took about 2-3 minutes). The ducks walking around the grounds were a big hit with the kids. Hopefully next time it won't rain as much!!!

I reserved our room for a portion of my husband's 2-week R&R from Iraq. We stayed for 3 nights and it was incredible! The staff was so awesome and friendly and the room was beautiful as well as comfortable. Broadway was just a few moments away, we just walked over to it!

FROM THE MOMENT I WALKED IN (TO GET DIRECTIONS TO THE HOTEL i WAS SUPPOSED TO BE STAYING AT) TO THE MOMENT i CHECKED OUT 3 DAYS LATER (HOW COULD I NOT STAY THEY OFFERED ME HOMEMADE COOKIES) I FELT LIKE I WAS VISITING A LOVED ONE. THIS FAIRFIELD IN AT BROADWAY MAY BE A MILE FROM THE OCEAN, BUT LET ME TELL YOU THESE LADIES TAKE CARE OF YOU. DEBORAH WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO GIVE ME DIRECTIONS, MAKE RESERVATIONS AT THIS GREAT BRAZIL STEAK PLACE (RIOS) AND EVEN HELD BACK COOKIES FOR MY WIFE AND I WHEN WE RETURNED FROM DINNER. WE THOUGHT SHE WAS A REAL RARITY IN CUSTOMER SERVICE TIL THE NEXT DAY AT BREAKFAST, STEPHANIE AT THE FRONT DESK AND JACKIE AT BREAKFAST IMPRESSED US AGAIN. FROM START TO FINISH THESE GIRLS REALLY DO THEY MARRIOTT CHAIN PROUD. WE WILL BE BACK
