Overview

Japan, and especially Nagasaki, has had a long history of exchange, both cultural and economic, with China. This Museum provides some testimony to that exchange. Built originally in 1893, and restored after World War Two, this three-story museum houses hundreds of interesting artifacts relating to Chinese culture. What may be of more interest to the visitor, however, is the exterior: it is quite stunning and exquisite, and makes for some great photographs. Do not let the sculptures and statues pass your notice—as if they could.
