Overview

Off the coast of Nagasaki City and just outside Nagasaki Bay is a beautiful resort island that you can reach via ferries from Nagasaki Terminal. The island has gorgeous beaches (where concerts are occasionally held), excellent resort hotels and numerous other attractions that may be of interest to tourists, such as the Iojima lighthouse. Tickets on the ferry are only a few hundred yen, so even if you have no clear destinations once you reach the island, you may want to go simply for the scenic ride.
