Overview

If you follow route 499 south from Nagasaki City, about 20 kilometers along the peninsula, you reach the region (or town, to be precise) known as Nomozaki. This area is quite scenic and serene. There is relatively little development here and numerous attractions for the visitor, not the least of which is the natural environment. From the hills you get a good view of the ocean below and of the horizon as far as the eye can see. A perfect place to get away from the city and commune with nature!
